Meet Bridget

Bridget Walsh Moore is the State Representative for Missouri’s 93rd District. After graduating from Ursuline Academy in St. Louis in 2006, Bridget went on to attend Bradley University’s Institute of International Studies in Peoria, IL, where she graduated in 2010 as a member of the International Studies Honor Society. During her time at Bradley University, Bridget also studied Arabic language and International Relations at the American University in Cairo, in Cairo, Egypt. She has also earned a Chancellor’s Certificate in International Trade from the World Trade Center through a joint program with the University of Missouri – St. Louis. In April of 2014 Bridget was diagnosed with stage 3 osteosarcoma, a bone cancer, which cost her a year of chemotherapy and a lifesaving amputation of her right leg. Now enjoying a full recovery, Bridget has become an active member of the adaptive athletic community in St. Louis.

Bridget resides in South St. Louis County with her husband Greg, an environmental engineer. They welcomed their first child in 2021. Together, Bridget and Greg are active volunteers and committee members with the St. Louis St. Patrick’s Day Parade, as well as active parishioners at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Bridget is also involved with the Great Rivers Environmental Law Center, North Broadway Business Development Community, Disabled Athletes Sports Association, and Progressive Democrats of Lemay. 

Since joining the legislature, Bridget has introduced and co-sponsored over a dozen pieces of legislation, including the Missouri Earned Family and Medical Leave Act which would grant up to six weeks of paid leave to every employee in the state. She also is the Founder and Co-Chair of the American Irish Legislative Caucus.
